Returning to a personal website—and to presenting photography on independent ground.
Welcome back to the website. At least, that's what I am telling myself as I continue to get a handle on bringing a website back into the world.
So, why?
I have enjoyed using Flickr and, more recently, Instagram to showcase images and project ideas. I enjoy the community at Flickr and have appreciated the real connections I have made through Instagram. But it was another photographer, whose name escapes me now, who made the case for photographers to take a second look at having a website to host their work.
As a result, I decided it was time to rebuild this space that I abandoned somewhere around eight to ten years ago when I wrapped up my wedding photography business in the US.
A lot has happened since then. A whole new set of images sitting on my computer and memory cards are waiting to be culled, edited, and assembled into something you might enjoy viewing.
I am thrilled to rejoin the community of photographers around the world who are passionate about not only creating images, but presenting their work.
Cheers to an old endeavor made new again. Cheers to the photographers creating across YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, and elsewhere who inspire with their passion, positivity, and talent. Cheers to you for being here. Thank you.
